Antica Porta FAQs: Your Authentic Stay in the Heart of Ravello

1. What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is available from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. If you plan to arrive after 8:00 PM, please note there is an extra fee of €40. We do not allow check-ins during the night. Check-out must be completed by 10:30 AM to allow our housekeeping team to prepare the apartment for the next guests.
2. How do I reach Antica Porta and where do we meet?
We are located in Via Gradillo, Ravello, right in front of the Gradillo Church. Please send us a WhatsApp message (+39 339 8313509) 15 minutes before you arrive. We will meet you in front of the church, near the gelato shop, to welcome you and hand over the keys.
3. Is there a tourist tax?
Yes, the local tourist tax is €3 per person, per night. Please be prepared to pay this amount in cash upon your arrival.
4. Where can I park my car in Ravello?
Ravello has a Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL), so please be mindful of road signs. Our property does not have private parking. You can find paid public parking at the Auditorium Oscar Niemeyer, Duomo, or Al Ponte parking lots. We recommend contacting them directly for updated rates and availability.
5. What are the house rules regarding noise and smoking?
To ensure a peaceful stay for everyone, we observe quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM (strict silence between 11:00 PM and 7:30 AM). Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property, and parties or music amplifiers are not allowed.
6. Is the terrace private or shared?
The terrace is a shared space for all our guests to enjoy. We kindly ask you to always close the awning and the doors after use to maintain the property.
7. What happens if I lose my room key?
Upon arrival, you will receive electronic keys. Please handle them with care; if a key is lost, an additional charge of €10 will be applied as compensation.
8. Can I store my luggage after check-out?
Unfortunately, we cannot store luggage after the 10:30 AM check-out time, as we must prepare the rooms for incoming guests.
9. How does waste recycling work?
Ravello follows a strict waste sorting schedule. You will find the recycling calendar in the kitchen. Please follow it carefully and place your waste outside the building after 10:00 PM on the designated days.
10. How can I get around the Amalfi Coast from Ravello?
To Amalfi: Take the local SITA bus. To Positano/Capri: Take a ferry from the Amalfi port. To Pompeii: We recommend the Sunland Tour operator. Taxis: We suggest contacting Giancarlo (Ravello Taxi) at +39 339 443 2880. Mention you are a guest of Antica Porta and always ask for the fare in advance.
11. Are there laundry facilities nearby?
While we do not have a laundry machine in the apartment, there is a Self-Service laundry located in Piazza Fontana Moresca, right in the heart of Ravello.
